Patient Guidelines

1. Guidelines for Admission

The Help Desk is located on the ground floor in the main lobby. Upon arrival, our Patient Care team will guide you through the admission process. Patients must register and will be issued a permanent hospital ID number. Room viewing is available upon request.

2. Guidelines for Emergency Admission

Our Emergency Unit operates 24×7. Patients arriving in emergency will be assessed by the First Contact Clinic physician and directed to the appropriate department. Immediate registration and deposit may be required.

3. Visiting Policy
  • General Visiting Hours: Daily from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • ICU Visits: On request or via tele-nursing assistance
  • Sundays & Public Holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Children above 15 years: Permitted in ICU
  • Children above 10 years: Allowed in other wards
  • One attendant per ICU patient may stay overnight.
  • Waiting areas are available for visitors.
4. Discharge Policy

Discharge is authorized by the attending physician. Final billing, discharge summary, and report clearance may take a few hours. All dues should be settled before discharge.

5. Patients’ Rights and Responsibilities

Rights:

  • Respectful treatment and recognition of dignity
  • Access to information about medical conditions and records
  • Second opinions without prejudice
  • Pain management options
  • Refuse treatment at personal risk
  • File complaints about care or charges
  • Privacy and confidentiality
  • Safety and identity of care providers

Responsibilities:

  • Provide complete and accurate medical history
  • Follow the prescribed treatment plan
  • Attend appointments and cooperate with medical staff
6. Patient Duties and Responsibilities

Patients must abide by hospital policies, behave respectfully, provide accurate health information, and follow treatment protocols. Families are advised not to bring external medicines or valuables. The hospital is not responsible for personal losses.
